Durnstein is the real jewel in the Danubes crown. A pretty little village in the heart of the Wachau Valley which only has about 460 residents. It is famous for its wine production and also the apricots which grow locally. I bought a bottle of the local Apricot Liquor home and will be drinking it on Christmas afternoon!
